The German Jagdpanzer VI ( suggestive name : Jagdtiger) (Sd.Kfz. 186, later version: Sd.Kfz. 185) was a super-heavy tank destroyer designed for the German Army in the second half of the Second World War on the basis of the already developed heavy Panzerkampfwagen VI Tiger II and used by the Wehrmacht and Waffen-SS from December 1944.
The Jagdtiger (in the Henschel version) is, with its 74 tonnes combat weight, the world's heaviest tank ever built in series.
