Infantry of the Napoleonic wars, a reproduction of soldiers from different eras to trace the evolution and history, reproduced in standard 1/30th, or 54mm, a collection of Del Prado.
The figurines are made in a stable alloy of lead and zinc, with a remarkable finish, both in terms of casting, as paint. Hand painted.
The army of the United Kingdom of the Netherlands, created at the Congress of Vienna and which brought together the territories of present-day Belgium and the Netherlands, included in its ranks a regiment of Belgian light dragoons - bearing the title of "5th Regiment of Light Dragoons" - "following the defeat of Napoleon at Leipzig in October 1813 and the upcoming French campaign, Charles-Auguste of Saxe-Weimar, commander-in-chief of the allied troops in Belgium, raised, in February 1814, a first cavalry regiment called the Chevau-Légers van der Burch, named after its colonel, Charles Albert Louis Alexandre Henri van der Burch. It was renamed in September 1814, the regiment of Belgian Chevau-Légers and finally in April 1815, it took the name of 5th Regiment of Light Dragoons ("5de Regiment Lichte Dragonders)"". The regiment took part in the Battle of Waterloo under the command of Colonel Édouard de Mercx de Corbais within the Allied Cavalry Corps.
